Project Name
Ok so for as long as i can remember i have always wanted to build from scratch a fully custom case and today its happening first step design after days and days thinking of new ideas i have picked out one that is practicle to me and most like! as you can see by picture the size of the case is two full tower cases the case will be   floor standing due to hight. Big watercooling will be used in this case along with two power supply's (psu)

page updated as i build
due to posting an advert on a website asking for all pc geeks for any old pc cases they no longer need my phone soon started ringing.
here we have 2 full size atx donated cases
first step was attaching the 2 cases together with the help of a rivet gun
here you can see the size i have inside the case and also the front..
the front are actually speaker covers.. they were the write size and the holes are 120mm exactly (PERFECT) saves me loads of time building the front.i had to body filer the screw holes.not a problem once sanded and sprayed
this is going to be the dvd drive front cover.
as you can see i had to body filler the bottom as there was a hole for a floppy drive (i have no need for a floppy drive)
also am going to mould a mic/audio and 2 usb connections into the bottom
all sanded and usb/audio connections in..looks like it was already like that ?that's due to 5 hours sanding.well worth the time for a top finish
paint next pictures on the way
pictures don't do it justice i will try to get better pictures of the paint on completion of build
dvd drive cover finished
i think the silver and gloss black is a nice mix
the feet of the case..as this case is heavy i decided to change these feet to wheels
PARTS
£45
3 120mm fans
2 40mm fans
2 stainless steel handles (kitchen door handles witch i think will go great with the colour scheme of case)
4 swivel wheels
1 anti vandal key switch
rivet them wheels on.
as the case is so heavy as it is i decided to put wheels on it for easy movment
on/off switch key very simple to wire up
need to paint case next
as im going to be using 2 psu's one for motherboard (750w) and a (150w) to power fans and lighting only they are going to be in the top compartment with a push/pull cooling they have to come out of there original casing.
as you can see in picture i have cut off the backing off one.also added a second power plug adapter so i can plug two power cables in one place to power the two
here you can see the backing plate had to solder new wires to connect the psu's as the originals were too short.i make this look easy but please if you have no electrical experience please seek it before you even open a psu
stay safe :-) psu power cable need to be the write thickness or the wires will heat up and burn that's just one problem to think about
wooden template made to make a metal one
as you can see in this picture the water-cooling radiator takes up all the room in the bottom tower.maybe too big?be interesting to see the temps it produces.4 120mm fans will be attached to the back
close-up of power on/off key switch
windows new cut out of side panel doors.added handles to
made a plate to cover the side of the psu's with 2 windows to show the psu's off
