Are those PSU wires making your case untidy? Need better airflow and looks? Tidy those cables guys! Here we will guide you how to sleeve your PSU with a sleeving kit. Vantec Cable Sleeving Kit is featured in this guide but any sleeve or sleeving kit would work!
Colours: UV Green, UV Red, UV Yellow, non UV Blue
Tools: Molex remover, screwdriver, heat shrink matching your sleeving kit colour, hairdrier/hot-air-gun, force(may the force be with you )
Use a screwdriver or molex remover(this remover come with vantec new product--uv molex kit) to remove the molex from the cables
Try not to mess up the wires and be sure to connect them the exact way you unplugged them. For four pins molex, black wire is ground point, yellow is 12v, red is 5v .
Before you start to sleeve it, use lighter to burn the both end of the sleeve to make sure that the sleeve won't spoil. Then sleeve it slowly. Use a screwdriver to guide the cables into the sleeve
Use your fingers to strech and pull the cables into the sleeve until the cables go through the sleeves. Use your Force
, if u apply the force like this, then can the sleeving process will be much more faster.
ts time to start your hairdrier and heat up the heat shrink. Notice that it will get smaller as you heat it.
Time to showoffClean up the PSU and check that all the cables are porperly connected. We dont want it to come out when the PSU is turned on dont we?
